Project Manager

Spend your days

  • Coordinating with clients on deliverables, schedules, and budgets
  • Evaluating contract costs and reporting (internal and external)
  • Anticipating tasking issues and proposing solutions
  • Managing multiple task orders on IDIQ contracts
  • Overseeing resources in a matrix organization
  • Coordinating with internal team leads and subject matter experts (SME) regarding assignments, budgets, and contract-related requirements
  • Managing multiple resources and schedules for very short (hours) to long (months) timeframes
  • Developing solutions to improve internal processes related to budgeting, timekeeping, and contract administration
  • Regularly updating team leads and company principals
  • Providing presentations, reports, and other products to convey critical data related to the contracts
  • Developing and acquiring a thorough understanding of contract requirements and client deliverables
  • Supporting the development of safety-related documents, including revised procedures and plans; training materials and guides; memos, management reports, tracking matrices, and other similar materials
  • Tracking time and costs per DCAA standards

Bring with you

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS) from an accredited school
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience. A Master of Science (MS) degree or a Master of Arts (MA) degree may be substituted for three (3) years of experience
  • Relevant fields include Public Transportation and Federal Government Contracting
  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience
  • Proven experience working independently with minimal direct supervision
  • Prior experience working in the Federal sector is preferred
  • Experience interpreting policies, plans, procedures, contract specifications, and technical documents
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to manage client relationships
  • Impeccable oral and written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to interface with clients and work with a team
  • Ability to be a problem solver
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and accurately disseminate information
  • Experience developing presentations and technical reports
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency 
  • Excellent Excel and analysis skills
  • Experience working with Jira software desired, but not required
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Proof of COVID-19 full vaccination status
  • Ability to obtain a federal government security clearance

Location: This could be an office-based telecommuting position or a fully remote position. For an office-based telecommuting position, personnel must live within one hour of our Charlottesville office. For this to be a fully remote position, candidates must live within the Washington D.C., Metropolitan area.

No relocation package:  Must live in Charlottesville, Virginia, or the surrounding area (within approximately one-hour commuting distance to bcg’s Charlottesville office).
